Anime Vanguards Gamemodes are selected at the elevator and offer different challenges and rewards. Each mode is unique, altering enemy types and wave numbers. There are three main game modes: Story Mode, Infinite Mode, and Challenge Mode, each providing distinct rewards upon completion.
Gamemodes
Story Mode
Story Mode features a short campaign set across different worlds, with multiple stages to complete. Most players will finish Story Mode once, as it is mainly designed for initial progression.
Infinite Mode
Infinite Mode unlocks after completing all chapters of a world in Story Mode. This mode offers an endless number of waves, with enemies becoming harder to defeat as waves progress. Enemy scaling follows a specific formula (currently unknown).
Challenge Mode
Challenge Mode presents modified Story Mode stages, increasing difficulty through added changes. Completing challenges awards rare materials, with some rewards being exclusive to Challenge Mode.
